NFL Mid-Season Review: Surprise Teams and Great Games

After tonight's Monday Night game between the Minnesota Vikings and the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers, we will officially be at the midway point of the 2011 NFL season. It's time to take a look at the league through the first 8 games, with the surprises and upsets that will shape the remainder of the long drive to the Super Bowl.

Detroit, Buffalo, and San Francisco have all shocked the football world with their standing halfway through the season. Nobody thought the 49ers would be sitting on top of their division having only lost a single game.

The Lions sit behind the powerhouse Packers in the strong NFC North, and have won 4 games on the road. With their next two games at home, the Lions look to gain some ground on the leading Packers.

Even though the Bills were routed by the Cowboys on Sunday, no one can say that Buffalo hasn't had an impressive season so far, with a couple big wins over New England and Oakland earlier on. They too will look to push for a playoff spot in the coming weeks.

These surprise teams have led to an increase in ticket sales in markets that typically rank in the bottom half of the NFL. As the season heats up, expect some big games to be coming to markets like Detroit and Buffalo. Make sure you check our inventory for all the upcoming football games, you won't want to miss any of the action!
